The new year has brought a new face to Landscape Forms; Kirt Martin joined the team as Vice President, Design and Marketing.  Kirt’s appointment is an important part of our recently announced succession plan (which you can read about here) and the upcoming retirement of Arno Yurk, the Vice President of Design who has been with Landscape Forms for the past 25 years.

Kirt’s responsibilities will include leading the creative teams for Product Development, Marketing and Marketing Communications. I’ve been able to spend time with Kirt over the past few weeks where he told me, “I’m super excited to be working with the talented people of Landscape Forms.  It’s clear that Landscape Forms success is fueled by its passion for design and pride in its people. I believe that these important qualities helped transform Landscape Forms into the industry leader that it is today. I’m proud to be a member of the Landscape Forms team.”

Kirt came to Landscape Forms from Turnstone, a Steelcase company, where he directed industrial design activities, which included working with internal and external designers. He attended Kendall College of Art and Design in Grand Rapids, Michigan were he received a bachelors of fine arts in industrial design. Kirt also studied industrial design and design history at the Royal College of Art in London, England. Kirt’s work has garnered a 2001 IDEA Award, several Good Design Awards and Neocon Awards including Best of Neocon Silver award.

You can read the Press Release about Kirt here.
